What truly sets the Colorbox Active DI apart is its entirely discrete signal path. There are no integrated circuits in the audio path—every gain stage is built from carefully matched components.
This uncompromising architecture delivers extremely low distortion while maintaining exceptional signal integrity from input to output.

A selectable PAD accommodates high-level sources, while the CREAM control modifies the circuit’s input impedance, allowing the DI to be optimized for the impedance characteristics of the connected instrument.

The dedicated buffered output provides a transparent copy of the input signal, allowing the Colorbox Active DI to integrate seamlessly into any instrument chain. It can feed an amplifier or pedalboard while simultaneously capturing a pristine direct signal, adding a high-quality transparent buffer between the instrument and the rest of the rig.

Powered from a standard 12 V DC supply, its internal power-conversion stage generates symmetrical ±16 V rails, giving the discrete circuitry the additional headroom needed to handle demanding signals with clarity, precision, and ease.
